History

ABOUT US:

On October 17, 1982, the Eureka-Pacific Elks Lodge became the 2,644th lodge in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America (BPOE).

The story of the Eureka-Pacific Elks Lodge began in the spring of 1982, it was the idea of a small group of Elks from the Meramec-Arnold and High Ridge lodges. The group held planning meetings which eventually led to the submission of an application for the new lodge on July 17, 1982. The application was officially accepted by the Grand Lodge ten days later. The formal beginning (or Institution) of the Lodge occurred on October 17, 1982 at a special ceremony held at the Palace Theater at Six Flags. That day the Lodge instituted over 200 members and was off and running! In October of 1989, another milestone was reached when the Lodge purchased and dedicated their building at the corner of Central Ave. and West First St., which they have since expanded and continue to occupy to this day.

From its inception, the Eureka-Pacific Elks Lodge has been a strong source for charitable programs and events, all designed to help children grow up healthy and drug-free, meet the needs of today’s veterans, promote patriotism, and improve the quality of life in the community. In total, the Lodge has donated over +3 MILLION DOLLARS to charitable causes over the past 35 years.

At the state level, the Eureka and Pacific Elks Lodge works to support the Missouri Elks Association, providing state-wide programs such as, “Elks Mobile Dental”. This program serves the dental needs of eligible physically challenged children, and mentally challenged/developmentally disabled adults and children. Providing basic and routine dental care. Each year, dental procedures are performed on more than 3,000 patients. The value of these services is over $700,000.

At a national level, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks provides millions of dollars each year through programs such as the “Elks National Foundation”, which since its inception, has contributed $455.4 million toward Elks charitable projects nationwide.

The members of the Eureka-Pacific Elks Lodge would like to thank the community for their unfailing support, it is your generosity that allows us to provide help to those in need. We are committed to building and strengthening our Lodge to ensure we can continue to serve our communities for many years to come.

As we like to say, “Become Involved – Become an Elk”
